Whenever possible, I source locally made Canadian canvases and materials, supporting small suppliers and reducing environmental impact.  Each painting is created by hand using traditional techniques and durable materials designed to last for generations. I believe in creating work that is not only expressive and beautiful, but also made with care- for the collector, for the craft, and for the environment.

Christine Rottar Studio offers commissioned paintings for collectors who want a truly personal, one-of-a-kind work.  Each commission begins with a consultation about your piece, your vision, and the colours, energy, and mood you’d like to convey.  You will be presented with a mock-up of the design idea, along with colour theme and canvas size.  I will share updates throughout the painting process which can take up to 3-4 weeks depending on demand.  There is no risk-I want you to truly love your commissioned painting.  If it does not feel right, you are not obligated to take it.  A commissioned piece is more than decor; it’s a lasting collection, designed to bring warmth, presence, and joy into your home.
